Music Videos
Since you're researching and shopping for a guitar, I've deduced that you must like music. In this section I will rotate three music videos that I like with the hope that you will also like them and find them an enjoyable diversion.
Ray Charles & Stevie Wonder: Living In The City
Man, if this does not make you smile then you really are quite the grouch. And yea, I know they don't play guitar...but so what?
Richard Thompson: Vincent 1952
RT has been around for a while...a long while. He plays everything from folk to rock, and some things that I can't classify at all. I've seen his shows at the Keswick Theatre on a couple of occassions, and whether he played with his full band or solo, he's always been fabulous. Although I like his electric guitar stuff a bit better, this is probably his trademark song.
Johnny Cash: Ring Of Fire
OK, so I'm not really into country music and I guess that Johnny Cash IS country music...but I don't care! Some of his songs just seem to transcend placing them in a genre. And for me, this is one of them.
Richard Thompson: I Feel So Good
OK, there were only supposed to be three music videos on this page. But I felt remiss in not including a Richard Thompson song that was not "electrified". Here he is on Letterman with one of his electric guitars, backed up by Paul Shaeffer and the band, in his younger days. What most RT fans will find surprising here is that he is wearing a suit jacket and does not have on his beret. Nice job RT and kudos to Paul and the band! Note: If you've got external speakers...turn them UP.
