Beginner wanting to buy a used acoustic guitar
balu asked:
Is buying a used guitar a bad choice? I've seen 2 used guitars...one has a jack for electric connection but it is slightly broken near the side portion (it's like a dent). The other one is OK, not broken or anything...but no jack for electric connection. Both cost about the same. Which one should I buy? Please give a frank opinion

Try a pawnshop. You should get a decent guitar for under $100

Hi Balu. Have you tried either of them? If not, give them both a try for starters and then you can see which is more comfortable. A traditional acoustic guitar with no pickup or jack socket can always have those things installed, and if the other other is broken, it can be fixed, so either way you’ll be fine. Out of the two I’d say give the one with the jack socket a go, as any faults can be fixed and also it’ll save you time and money getting new stuff installed. The main thing is to get a guitar you are comfortable playing and holding.
